Alexander Technique


Young children and toddlers seem to have an innate poise and freedom in carrying out their daily activities. However, as we grow older we begin to unconsciously acquire habits that tend to interfere with that optimum coordination that young children demonstrate with ease. The harmful habits that we put ourselves through day after day could result in a number of ailments.

The Alexander Technique is an educational method of undoing one’s harmful habitual patterns – learning to recognize when you are using too much or too little effort for a given activity. Through gentle verbal and hands-on guidance from an Alexander teacher, you will learn how to release compression, move with ease and expansion, and improve the way you use yourself in everyday activity.

The Alexander Technique has been helping people from all walks of life learn to move and live with more freedom and poise for more than 100 years.
